Cremation Urns
Single and companion size cremation urns handcrafted in cherry, walnut, oak and poplar.
For more than a decade, the Benedictine monks of Saint Meinrad Archabbey have operated Abbey Caskets. Built by local craftsmen, all proceeds from our handcrafted wooden caskets and cremation urns support the prayer and works of the monks of Saint Meinrad Archabbey. Please contact us if we can help you honor a loved one's life.
Why an Abbey Casket?
Grief. Hope. Dignity. Reverence. Although these values have a place in the life and practice of the monastery, these are values the monks of Saint Meinrad Archabbey share with all humankind.
In death, as in life, friends of Saint Meinrad may now demonstrate their spiritual kinship with our monastic community. What more powerful symbol to express this kinship than a casket? What more solemn occasion than death?
